India:My Country

Quite recently i met a british national on my way to some place he was a middle aged man,he must have been anything between 55 and 60 he asked me "how does it feel to be growing up in India in current times because your country is making a progress at such a fast pace in all the fields be it technical, managerial or business??"...I said definitely yes i feel very excited to be growing up in a time like this because the way we are developing it seems becoming a developing country does not look like a distant dream..Than he asked me "what do you think is the difference between a developed country and a developing country??"...this question was a little surprising for me i pondered over it a little and than i realized that answer was pretty obvious i said the difference is what is the worth of 1 citizen's live to the country..to what extent are they willing to go to save him either medically(ie if he has some rare disease or his life is in danger) or monetarily or for that in any matter he can be helped..before i could say anything more he said it was time for him to get off as this station..in the end he just said goodbye...

Later that night i pondered over this a little more and finally i formed an opinion over this to some readers it might sound a bit dictatorial but than that is what my opinion is..I think in a developing country an individual's life is not given any importance and even if the government whats to they cant due to the lack of resources at hand..Almost daily you might get to read in the newspaper that a 5 persons died due to the excessive heat and 10 died due to the riots and few more due to various other causes but inspite of all this we say that government doesnt take any action but i ask what due to expect them to do generate resources for a such a large population??You ask there is no water i say the amount of water we have cannot fulfill our needs even if try utilizing it in the best possible manner ya i agree over this in a developing country like ours there is definitely mismanagement of resources but even if they did still people would die of thirst still we crib so i say government is right to a certain extent in if it thinks for the future generation and saves resources for them which definitely would mean that present generation suffer to a certain extent..You might why should the present generation why not the next but i say to become a developed country 1 of the generation had to suffer so why not our generation..i say is each individual in a developing country like ours should consider himself a hero though at the end a few of us will be remembered and few of us will be will be the forgotten heroes but the day we become a developed country each hero will get his share of fame thats the day when i think we would truly be a developed country..so sacrifices made by the present generation would go a long way in making our nation a developed nation..I wish i could see a fully developed India in my lifetime and i also pray to god that i too would have played my role in making my nation a developed nation..

Sorry for writing on a topic like this as many of you wont be able to relate to it..
